In 1889 the top tube of the Singer was a fact.
This example still has double rubber food pads and chain tensioning at the bracket, which makes it an 1889 model. Both details were to disappear in 1890. Serial number is 61702.
It is a nice and original example, only front mudguard is missing and the saddle has once been changed.
I have seen this bicycle in real and unlike most early safeties, it is a tall bicycle, that can be ridden by a taller man (6 feet plus). Marvellous model, fine example!!
